SOL TESTING

End-of-course NON-WRITING SOL RETAKE testing begins January 18, 2022.

  • Passes will be distributed in the Advisory Period (1/18-1/26)
  • ROBO calls and emails with locations and times are being sent to parents and students as of 1/12/2022.
  • If your student does not have an advisory period, please have the student report directly to their testing location.

Student Testing Locations

As your testing day approaches, you will receive an email from the school letting you know where you should test.  You can also check with the teacher associated with the SOL you are scheduled to take closer to the testing date.

What to Bring

Students are asked to bring their school laptop (FULLY CHARGED), computer charger, mask and water. If a student does not have a SCHOOL LAPTOP, you may borrow one to complete your test.  Please DO NOT bring any personal computers.  Students cannot use personal computers to test.  

Que Traer

Se les pide a los estudiantes que traigan su computadora portátil de la escuela (TOTALMENTE CARGADA), cargador de computadora, máscara y agua. Si un estudiante no tiene una COMPUTADORA PORTÁTIL ESCOLAR, puede pedir prestada una para completar su examen. NO traiga computadoras personales. Los estudiantes no pueden usar computadoras personales para evaluar.

Accessing the Practice Items

The Practice Items can be accessed using a standard Web browser and selecting the button below. An alternative way to access the Practice Items is to download and install the TestNav application.

Note: While the Practice Items can be viewed on various devices, students will only complete state assessments on devices with a minimum 9.5” screen size.


Definitions:

  • End-of-course test: These are SOL tests that are given at the end of specific SOL courses as defined by the Virginia Department of Education.
  • Retakes: these tests are given to students that have previously passed an SOL course but did not pass the SOL test associated with that course and need the verified credit.
  • Makeup Tests: these tests are given to students who were absent from a specific test.
  • Expedited Retakes: these SOL tests are given to students that do not pass the SOL but score within a set range as defined by the Virginia Department of Education.
  • Term Grad: Students planning to graduate at the end of the current term/semester (12th grade)
  • Underclassmen: Grades 9 - 11
