Library Policies

Circulation Policy

Books are checked out to students with an UR student ID for a three-week circulation period. Renewal is permitted. Three items may be checked out to an individual student at any one time provided none are overdue. Month old magazines may be checked out for a week. Books on reserve may be used in the library only.

Library Policies

1. An official hall pass is required for individual students to visit the library during the school day and after 2:30 p.m. No pass is needed before school or immediately after school before 2:30 p.m.
2. Be considerate of others need for a quiet place to read or study.
3. Cutting through the library is not permitted.

Go directly to the circulation desk and sign in immediately upon entering.

Library Technology Use

  • All electronic devices (including cell phones) must remain silenced in the library to avoid disturbing patrons.
  • Misuse or abuse of technology will result in consequences.

After School Library Use:

  • The library is available to students after school each day until 3:15 pm. Before entering the library, students are to complete all personal business (e.g., restroom, locker, telephone, meetings, make-up work with another teacher, etc.)
  • Students must sign in when entering the library and must remain in the library until they leave for the evening.
  • Activity bus passes are available to those students arriving by 2:30 p.m. and will be handed out 10 minutes before closing. Students arriving after 2:30 p.m. must have an official school pass (and bus pass if needed) from their previous teacher or coach.
  • All school rules apply during after school library use.
