Unity Reed High School has a long tradition of academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement in Prince William County. Originally opened as Stonewall Jackson High School, the school earned national recognition in 2001 when TIME magazine named it a "High School of the Year" for its commitment to rigorous academics and strong family involvement. Today, Unity Reed High School continues that legacy as a diverse and inclusive learning community, offering nationally recognized programs, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, career and technical education pathways, and opportunities that prepare students to thrive in college, careers, and civic life. Following its renaming in 2020, the school embraced a renewed commitment to unity, respect, and excellence while honoring the achievements of generations of students, staff, and families.
