Unity Reed Athletic Information

URHS athletics and some of the student activities are governed by the Virginia High School League, (VHSL). This organization establishes rules for all public school athletic programs in Virginia. URHS belongs to the Cedar Run District. As a member of VHSL, PWCS & URHS abides by all established rules and regulations. Visit the VHSL website for further information.

Requirements for Participation

The Virginia High School League AND Prince William County Public Schools set requirements and standards for students to be eligible to participate in high school athletics. It is important for student-athletes and their families to be familiar with these requirements. Below you will find details on the requirements that MUST be completed by ALL student-athletes that plan on participating in school athletics during the 2026-27 school year.

The requirements below must be completed prior to being permitted to try out for any athletic team or participate in any athletic activities.

Students must:

Have a completed online athletic registration in Arbiter.
- Parent/guardian must create an account in Arbiter.
- Complete Unity Reed High School Athletic Registration 2026-27.
- Need assistance? View Online Athletic Registration Instructions.
Have completed Student-Athlete education (part of the online athletic registration process in Arbiter).
Have a current Virginia High School League (VHSL) physical form (signed by parent/guardian and physician) submitted through the online athletic registration process.
Maintain eligibility requirements set forth by VHSL and in the PWCS High School Activities and Athletics Eligibility and Participation Guidelines.

*Student Athlete Registration MUST complete by the end of the school day in order to participate in tryouts that day.
